The Starting Five

This story is actually a week old, but I just ran across it today.

It seems former Oriole Larry Bigbie unwittingly helped blow the cover off of Major League Baseball’s steroid issue.

By the way, a quick check of baseball-reference.com shows the 2005 Orioles (the time when the snitch was in the locker room) having six starters with links to steroids: Palmeiro, Roberts, Tejada, Bigbie, Sosa and Gibbons.

That’s also the team that spent the first three months of the season in first place before sinking like a rock. Oi!
